Year 10 GCSE Art and Design students from Albany Academy took part in an Art workshop at Runshaw college. The workshop was designed to build upon their existing skills as artists and support them as they develop their GCSE coursework.
The students spent the afternoon at Runshaw colleges main campus on Langdale road. The workshop was very engaging focusing on a mixed media task on an architecture theme, combining and building on existing skills learned this term. The work will provide beneficial evidence of supporting study for the new revised GCSE specification.
Mr Nisbet, Art and Design teacher at Albany who coordinated the visit, said, “Students enjoyed the work bringing together collage, textiles, graphite, ink and drawing and the trip was a thoroughly worthwhile experience.”
