Catering teacher, Mrs Roberts, led a class with a difference in January. Mrs Roberts swapped her regular class of 11-16 year olds to deliver a workshop for the Men’s Fellowship from St George’s church.
This is the 5th year they have been coming to Albany after a chance meeting with Mrs Roberts at a charity event. The men expressed how little they knew about cookery and with help from Mrs Roberts have been guided through a range of recipes over the last 5 years. This year the group were taught how to make a range of foods including tapas at the evening class.
Mrs Roberts, said, “They have become very confident and are making excellent progress. They come for three hours between from 6pm and 9pm and I thoroughly enjoy teaching such an appreciative audience”.
