Forty-eight students, accompanied by five members of staff from Albany Academy, experienced a memorable trip to the French capital, Paris. The four-day trip, run by the Languages team, was organised so that students could experience French culture and put what they had learned in the classroom into action.
Students travelled by coach and ferry and stayed at the Résidence Internationale De Paris Hotel in the heart of city. They were able to enjoy two full days taking in the famous landmarks and sites which Paris has to offer. These included students visiting the Eiffel Tower, Sacré Coeur, Notre Dame, the Louvre Museum, the Science Museum and even a boat trip along the famous river Seine.
The students enjoyed a fabulous time with Sean Moss and Josh Atkins describing the trip as, “such good fun, the best parts being the visit to the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, the Science Museum and the Seine river cruise. I love Paris or should I say J’adore Paris!”
Mrs Baah, French teacher at Albany Academy, who organised the trip, said, “students and staff all had a wonderful time in Paris sightseeing and experiencing the French language and culture. We hope that the students will have lasting memories of the trip.”
