Albany Academy this week gave seven students’ the chance to gain a Level 2 and Level 3 certificates in Bikeability. It is ‘cycling proficiency’ for the 21st century, designed to give the next generation the skills and confidence to ride their bikes on today’s roads. Students’ participated in Level 1 Bikeability, which took place on the school playground and included a bike and helmet check before practising indicating and braking skills on the Tennis Courts. It was then followed later that day by Level 2 and 3 which took place on local roads around Chorley.
This course is one of continuous assessment, and on successful completion of the course our students’ will receive a badge and certificate to indicate they have passed.
