Term Dates

Our term dates usually follow those of Lancashire authority to allow consistency for families with children at primary school and at Albany Academy. There are two key differences:

1. We hold a two week October half term break. This helps to provide more balanced year and allows children and staff a genuine holiday during the longest term.

2. We have ten training days for staff.

   We want to ensure that students are educated and supported by world class staff. Most of these training days are held next to a holiday, with the exception of the May half term, which has GCSEs taking place before and after. There are six shown within term times and the remaining four take place during holiday August, or are split and take place during evenings.
